Wensleydale Community Arts Festival

The Wensleydale Community Arts Festival is Leyburn’s annual celebration of creativity, local talent, and the vibrant arts scene in our rural community. Hosted annually by Blueboxt Creative & Performing Arts, the festival brings together artists, performers, and audiences of all ages for a variety of arts-based events across Wensleydale & Swaledale.

2026 will mark our 4th year, and the festival continues to grow, featuring everything from kids’ workshops and concerts to film showings, evening music performances, and variety shows. You’ll find events happening all over Wensleydale.

In addition to performances and exhibitions, the festival includes makers’ markets, live arts demonstrations, and activity days for children, offering opportunities for the whole community to get involved. 

The Wensleydale Community Arts Festival works in collaboration with local venues, schools, artists, musicians, and groups, including but not limited to, The Swaledale Festival, The Dales Community Pop Choir, Leyburn Arts Centre, Wensleydale Camera Club, St. Matthews Church, Leyburn Methodist Church, and other voluntary and community groups and organisations.
