On the weekend of the 14th and 15th MarchFriends of the Museum are planning to commemorate the
last passenger train out of Hawes in 1959
There will be an exhibition and display of railway memorabilia and
on the Saturday we will be hosting a tea dance with refreshments

Exhibition by Ruth Lee - “Let No Loop Down”
We are hosting an exhibition by artist Ruth Lee“Let No Loop Down” will feature contemporary textiles and knitting
inspired by the museum collections.
Ruth will be in the exhibition and talking about her work on the Sunday afternoon, 5th April.
She will be running adult workshops creating knitting and textile work between 11am and 3.30pm on the 25th April, 16th May and 18th June. Booking essential.

The Moorcock Show
One of the leading sheep shows in the Yorkshire Dales, watch the judging of various classes and breeds of sheep ,including Swaledales and Roughs, as well has having the opportunity to do some judging themselves. Join in with Children’s entertainment. Craft specialists and an exhibition by local businesses and food producers.There will also be an exhibition of local historical photographs, and the usual vintage tractor display. Refreshments will also be available with delicious afternoon teas.
Starting at 12.00 noon at Mossdale, between Hawes and Sedbergh on the A684.
